Swat valley is a lush and green valley situated in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa which is called Switzerland of the East. Swat has numerous alpine forests, lush green meadows, panoramic views, snowcapped mountains and fresh water lakes.

Access:
Swat can be accessed from Besham city by crossing Shangla pass (7,000ft) and alternative route for Swat is from Peshawar via Charsadda crossing Malakand Pass. Distance between Beesham and Swat is 110km and travel timing is 3 hours. From Peshawar to Swat distance is 250km and travel timing is 5-6 hours.

Hottest month: June, with mean, maximum temperature 33 centigrade and minimum temperature 16 centigrade.
Coldest month: January, with mean, maximum and minimum temperature of 11 centigrade and -2 centigrade.

  • Marghazar:
    Marghazar is a scenic village in Swat that is famous for “Sufed Mahal” the white marble Palace, which used to be the residence of former Wali of Swat.
  • Malam Jabba:
    Malam Jabba is a very exquisite hill station in Swat Valley that’s worth visiting and it is famous for its Ski resort, that’s one of the largest Ski resorts in Pakistan. It holds the highest Ski slope with highest point of 2804m above the sea level. It is heaven for Ski and Snow lovers.

  • Kalam:
    Kalam is heaven for trek lovers and hikers. There are various hill stations nearby Kalam and the most prominent ones are:

  • Miandam:
    Miandam is lush and green hill station and it is good place for trekking and hiking.

    It is a magnificent lake in Upper Usho Valley, at a distance of 40km from Kalam. It can accessed from Kalam through a bumpy road.
  • Pari Lake/ Khapiro
    A wonderful lake located at a very high altitude near north east of Urtor Valley that gives splendid views. Pari means fairy and it’s believed that fairies come to this lake for bathing.
